Pants on Fire

It’s stunning that Joe Wilson is getting the support he is for uttering a blatant lie in the face of the President of the United States, in one of the most disrespectful manors ever recorded.

Now that he and other Wingers have been caught in their lie, they’re shifting gears: they contend that because no proof of citizenship is required for users of the conceptual healthcare system, illegal immigrants can and will get healthcare, thereby the President of the United States is a liar.

I find it abso-fucking-lutely and stupefyingly unbelievable that the imbeciles on the right would accept proof of citizenship from mere commoners when they won’t accept or believe official proof of citizenship provided to them by someone who:

- Received a degree from Columbia University
- Received a law degree from Harvard
- Was president of the Harvard Law Review
- Served as an Illinois State Senator
- Served as a United States Senator
- Is serving as the President of the United States

The political right is achieving levels of buffoonery I thought only Homer Simpson could ever achieve.

Between fringe (dangerous) right-wing political groups, phony grassroots organizations backed by huge corporations, and right-of-center voters who have the attention span and intellectual capacity of a fucking soap dish, we can only hope the moderate and reasonable of the Republican Party jump ship and expose the dregs of the far right for what they are: The most dangerous and embarrassing group of citizens this country has ever known.

And just today there's a huge protest march in Washington DC. I just read about it. Supposedly tens of thousands of these inbred under-a-rock dwellers have descended on DC because they're alarmed about government spending. WTF?

Where were they during Dumbya's reign of error?

Good post, Carlos.

During Dumbya's reign of error they were probably all so scared after "9-11" that they weren't capable of paying attention to the other things Dumbya was doing. They were too busy listening to Goebbels, er, I mean Limbaugh/Hannity/O'Reilly/Coulter/Savage/etc., whose voices was probably akin to comfort food for them during stressful times.
