On Meet the Press this morning, David Gregory asked John Boehner if he was in favor of raising the retirement age to 70.Gregory asked him twice. Both times, Boehner did not answer the question. He sidestepped it, and Gregory let him slide.
If Gregory would’ve done his homework (or had the balls to call Boehner on it), he’d have seen that Boehner said this during an interview with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
"We’re all living a lot longer than anyone ever expected, and I think raising the retirement age ... and eventually getting the retirement age to 70 is a step that needs to be taken."
Wow.Really, Boner? Are you really that much of a pussy?Fucking sad.
I didn't see that program but I've seen other blog posts about it. Boner also was asked how he'd pay for those tax cuts since he wants to make them permanent. He couldn't answer. He just kept parroting "You can't raise taxes in the middle of a weak economy."
Every time David Gregory asked him why, or for any specific proposals he had, Boner just kept repeating the same soundbite over and over.
