Honorary, Non-Gov't Dumbasses

On the way home from work today, I was listening to right wing automaton Sean Hannity (just to keep up on what the other side is thinking). He took a call from an unprepared “independent.” The issue was whether or not the U.S. should be involved in Russia’s invasion of Georgia.

The hapless “independent” contended that our country’s founding fathers built our government so that the U.S. could not intervene in another country’s/region’s conflicts unless there was a specific request from the invadees/oppressees/repressees. Where the fuck he got that idea is beyond me.

Sean Hannity insisted the U.S. had a moral obligation to intervene in the Russia/Georgia conflict.

Hannity went on to ask Mr. Hapless, rhetorically and sarcastically, if the U.S. should just stand by while people were killed, maimed, invaded, Holocausted, etc.

That’s when my brain put on the heavy-duty air-brakes and asked Hannity: “Are you telling me that turning a blind eye to strife, slaughter, Holocaust, mayhem and crimes against humanity is immoral, impolite, and just plain ol’ mean?”

Are you fuckin’ shittin’ me Hannity, you dumb piece of douche fuck shit? What in the ever-livin’ hell do you think Dubya has been doing to Darfur for the last eight years? And what about Haiti? It’s in our own fucking back yard and has been suffering mightily for decades. And we’ve done nothing, Idiot Boy! Nothing!

Jesus H. Christ. I need to go to the library and read everything to try to regain some of the smarts I had before I listened to these two idiots’ microbabble.

Listening to Sean Hannity while driving? Sounds kind of dangerous. I'd probably either fly into a rage and/or burst out laughing at that asswipe. Either way I'd be distracted and a menace on the road.

A trip to the library was definitely in order so you could de-contaminate after Hannity's spewings.

Yeah...worse than driving and talking on the cell phone for sure.

There's an added distraction in that Hannity's voice is so damned wimpy! It's just the perfect combination of whiny and sissy!

Excellent point Carlos! It seems the right wing nutjobs are perfectly happy letting people die in countries that don't have oil...

I used to try to listen to the guys on the other side (Michael Savage used to be on one of the stations in the afternoon on my way home) but I'd get so enraged I could feel my blood pressure rising and had to switch it off!

It is, however, very enlightening to listen to these guys once in awhile because then we realize what we're up against.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you'll be back - I'm going to now catch up with all your recent posts!

Mauigirl: I've listened to Michael Savage before. I'm not sure who gets my blood boiling quicker - him or Rush Limbaugh. They really are such dunces!

The Georgian conflict is bullShit. Russia went in to South Ossetia after the US/Israeli lead Georgian Military was committing genocide in South Ossetia. The Russians acted in complete compliance of International Law....Period! Funny that all our USAmerican News is slanted toward these NEO-CON Fascists.

I learned a surprising update from jolly rogers at reconstitution 2.0. One of the hardest hit areas in South Ossetia was a Jewish Neighborhood. I would think that goes against the grain of Israel who is still supplying arms, but I guess it boils down to money...
