Senator John Ensign is, by far, one of the most prolific hypocrites and dumbasses to ever have served in federal government.
I'd like to see a non-political ethics committee that had the power to fire politicians of all parties for this kind of bullshit. How anyone can support this liar, hypocrite and cheat is beyond me.

This nonpolitical ethics committee wouldn't be able to have any Republicans on it. Republicans would fire a Democrat for driving one mph over the speed limit or for pulling the tag off his mattress. But a fellow Republican, no matter what he/she did, would be accused of "using bad judgment" and be warned not to do it again or else, or else he's really really gonna get a lecture and a stern talking-to if it happens again.
