The frothy, gun-obsessed
right need to come up with a better argument than “tell me how gun laws would’ve
prevented this.”
That is absolutely the most
acutely illogical, ridiculous, brain-dead counterpoint to reasonable firearm
laws ever. Ever! No offense to those who repeat it – Only to
the exceedingly dumb motherfucker who came up with it. Pardon my francais, I’m a former sailor (i.e.
military), and that’s the way I roll.
They’re words – Get over it. You’ll recover, unlike the dead and
crippled in Las Vegas.
Using that horribly
flawed logic, states that mandate background checks for childcare providers should
never have passed those laws because, you know – What good do they do? I mean, child molesters gonna molest, and
child rapers gonna rape, right? So why have laws? Sure – It might stop *some* rapers &
molesters, but fuck it. If it doesn’t
stop all of them, what’s the harm? Kids
are resilient, right? They’ll get over
it. Besides, what’s a little forcible sodomy between an unwilling child and a
deranged adult? It builds character! Fuck yes.
Makes me wish I would’ve got a good old fashioned cornholing as a youth.
Crude? Absolutely!
Ridiculous? Absolutely!
Stop.
Think.
