Hurray!  Now mentally unstable people can get firearms again!!!  Not that there aren't plenty of them already, but fuck.  Seriously?

The Right has an unhealthy obsession with firearms, violence, and trying to compensate for their tiny, tiny dicks. Oh, and then there's all the pocket lining going on in Washington, which shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I have never understood the obsession. I get that people like guns, and like to shoot guns. I have one, and used to target shoot and hunt in Arizona. And I trained with them, carried them, and used them in the military.  But…I’m not frothing at the mouth to make sure that every crazy son of a bitch in the country can get them with no checks and balances.  There’s a measure of common sense that needs to be applied here, but there’s just too much money flowing from lobbyists to politicians’ pockets for that to ever happen.

If people put a fraction of the energy they expend obsessing over guns helping the poor or contributing to society, we’d have a better damned place to live.  They’ll realize that when they’re on their death beds I suppose, when none of that shit will matter at all…just the people they love and will miss.

Here in Texas, they’re entertaining doing away with all licensing requirements for concealed or open carry, so it’ll soon be easier to get and carry a firearm than it will to be legally allowed to cut hair or open a day care business.  There’s something really fuckin’ wrong with that.
