Something I saw on-line..."Why does Alaska keep taking Federal Subsidies when they have enough money to give a $1,200 check to every one of its citizens?"

That's a very good question!

Am I missing something? Is "infastructure", woops, spell check answered for me, I'm not smarter than Palin, I think I've been saying it wrong ;). It is easier and sounds better the way Palin and I say it ;) as I'm saying it out loud to myself, yep, I prefer infa over infra.

I don't know anything about this woman, as I'm sticking with the ignorance is bliss theory. Stephen Colbert in "I Am America (And So Can You)", supports my theory ;).

Thanks for the book, I enjoyed it, he had me rolling with laughter, I LOVE COLBERT!!!

Alaska's population is only about 600K or so. Not only do residents get that extra check, but the state is sales tax free, they're one of the few states that do not have to file or pay personal income taxes and property taxes are virtually nil.

Delaware, O'Biden's state is sales tax free also. It is also home to over 800K "Delaware Corporations." Not that all are corrupt, but it is a well known fact - Delaware has lax laws and provides ways for big corporations to hide from taxes.

Just a few thoughts on how states can either suck the Fed or f*ck the Fed over.

Nevertheless, Palin is indeed an airhead. She makes blonds like me feel smart!

I didn't catch "infastructure." LOL. She also referred to "General McLellan" who doesn't exist.

The reason Alaska is so prosperous is because of that commie Windfall Profits Tax on the oil companies. Those rugged individualist Alaskans love it, but try doing that on a national level and you're a Communist who wants to sap individual initiative and the work ethic.

Colbert's book is indeed a hoot. I read it, and then bought the audiobook so I can listen in the car. Same with Jon Stewart's "America"... WONDERFUL stuff! Check out the audiobooks if you haven't yet!!

For someone who would probably go on record as saying she is against the redistribution of wealth, Palin is sure good at redistributing it.

I didn't catch "infatructure", but I'm pretty sure Biden, bless his heart, said "Bosniacs".

Mostly for me it was Palin DIDN'T say. more than what she said... because I think what she said was largely just inane blabber. She was an automaton spouting gibberish memes she had been trained to spout, by people who have probably warned her that "staying on track" means the same as "say only what we have told you to say".

Aieeee....
