Giant Prick

Giant asshole and GOP Candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives Greg Gianforte has a giant anger problem. He also has a legal problem, having recently been charged with misdemeanor assault for attacking Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs.
If you do a Google search you'll find the audio recording of the assault.
Another fine, upstanding, God-fearing, law-abiding Republican.

Gone Fishin'

Jason Chaffetz & Wolf Blitzer discuss POTUS and the Emolument Clause of the Constitution.  The hypocrisy just doesn't stop with the Republican party. How many taxpayer dollars did these clowns waste on Hillary Clinton fishing expeditions?

The End is Near

One of the first official steps toward a fascist government. This story is pretty hypocritical coming from the (disgraceful) Tweeter in Chief.

I'm curious how his White House Press changes will pan out. It doesn't look good.

Flori-Duh

Yet another dose of crazy coming out of the great state of Florida.  It seems that the Orange County school board, once a stout proponent of passing out bibles in public schools, is now having second thoughts.

Wait, wait, wait…don’t get all geeked up just yet.  The board didn’t have an epiphany, suddenly realizing that a public school is no place for religious propaganda.  They still love Jesus, and want to jam Christianity down your children’s throats just as much today as they did yesterday.  They’re just a little out of sorts because The Satanic Temple wants to distribute coloring books to schoolchildren.

Board chairman Bill Sublette said of the proposal, “This really has, frankly, gotten out of hand,” and “I think we've seen a group or groups take advantage of the open forum we've had.”  Of course it’s out of hand, Billy.  It’s always out of hand when people force their religions on others.  Religion should be kept the fuck out of government.  Every crazy-ass religion out there should be banned from all government or government sponsored activities.

The Orange County board is now considering a change of policy, which could happen in January or February.  The group that passes out bibles says the possible policy change is an attack on Christianity.  Ha!

Here’s a link to the coloring book.

Here are Google search results for the topic.

The comments on some of the news sites reporting this story are hilarious.

Fucking idiots.

King Dumbass

God, I hate John Boehner.

This past Sunday on Face the Nation idiot boy declined to take a position on immigration (“I can’t do that, and I don’t want to do that”), saying “If I come out and say, ‘I’m for this and I’m for that,’ all I’m doing is making my job harder.”  He also said his job was to “Facilitate a discussion and to facilitate a process so the American people can see what we’re doing and so the members understand that we’re dealing with this in a deliberative way…”

He says this, while taking hard-line positions vehemently opposing Obamacare and abortion.  Are you kidding me, you fucking hypocritical ass-wipe?

How do we let these fucks get away with this?  Why did Bob Schieffer let him slide?

I Feel a Crap Coming On

Fuck, I love the Republican Religious Right.

Republican US Senator from Idaho Michael Crapo was arrested in Virginia on 12/23 for driving under the influence after running a red light.  Crapo is also a Mormon.  Nice.

Not surprisingly, this epitome of ethics:

- Voted YES on allowing some lobbyist gifts to Congress. (Mar 2006)
- Voted NO on establishing the Senate Office of Public Integrity. (Mar 2006)
- Voted NO on banning "soft money" contributions and restricting issue ads. (Mar 2002)

For more on this craptastic piece of self-righteous hypocrisy, check his voting record.

Wow

So I have this very conservative former coworker friend who, despite our considerably differing political stances, I think quite highly of. I’ve known him since 1994.

Today on Facebook, he posted a link to a web site on which donations are being sought from people to help people pay for the huge medical bills of someone he knows who was seriously injured in an automobile accident.

The donation recipient’s hardships notwithstanding, I find it excruciatingly hypocritical that my friend is helping to beg for money for someone who is underinsured.

This is the same person who believes that people, not the federal government, should be responsible for insuring themselves. This is a person who would have been cheering with the Republican debate crowd that cheered when a Republican candidate was asked if an uninsured person should be allowed to die.

In the end, the Teabagger philosophy winds up costing taxpayers either way.  I wonder if the injured guy or his family are having second thoughts about President Obama's healthcare initiatives.

Absolutely fucking amazing.

Double Vision

You’d think, given the current Texas budget crisis, that Texas politicians would be focused on that. I guess a $15-$27B shortfall isn’t important enough to warrant serious attention.

Twin dumbasses, Governor Rick Perry and Texas Senator (R-Houston) Dan Patrick have decided it’s more important for the government of the State of Texas to pass legislation mandating a medical procedure on women.

You see, Dan "This is God's time to pass this bill” Patrick and Secession Perry have decided that government not only belongs in our wallets an pocketbooks, but also in a woman’s uterus.

That’s right, girls. If you get pregnant and decide you don't want to have the baby, you will be forced to have an ultrasound. Both the Texas Senate and the Texas House of Representatives have approved just such a bill.

But wait! There’s more! Even if you get raped and impregnated by a gang of Somali pirates (or worse yet, Republican politicians!), you’ll have to have that ultrasound. Let’s call it a figurative cherry on top of the whole “experience.”

The hypocrisy of the Republican Party is acutely bewildering. The Duncepublicans had a little shit fit when it was proposed that school meals be regulated to help save little Johnny from becoming Big Fat Johnny and dying prematurely. God fucking forbid! And adding a tax of a couple of pennies to chemical-laced junk food? Lordy no! God forbid I not poison myself or my children! And federal health care legislation? Fuck no! That’s all just too much gubment in my bidness. Don’t tread on me you commie fucks!

I’ve written all my shit-for-brains state representatives and senators to voice my displeasure.

That is all.

Oh. Wait. I went to Mr. Patrick’s web site to see what I can see and saw this prominently displayed on his site as his claim to fame: “Dan's first legislative accomplishment was to have ‘In God We Trust’ permanently displayed in the Senate Chamber.” and “He passed legislation placing ‘In God We Trust’ permanently in the Texas Senate Chamber and passed the Senate bill to place ‘Under God’ in the state pledge. Now, some Danquotes:

"There will be times when all of us sit at our desk, and we'll be able to look at the words, 'In God We Trust,' and maybe get us through those times,"

"There will be times when all of us sit at our desk, and we'll be able to look at the words, 'In God We Trust,' and maybe get us through those times…and know that God is looking out for us,"

Jesus H. Christ. Talk about a jamming shit down citizens’ throats.

Okay…I’m done now. Fer reals this time.

The Hypocrisy of the Right

So…Politicians on the Right continue to pursue the symbolic effort of futility to repeal healthcare reform. Not all of them, but enough of them.

What I find abso-fucking-lutely baffling is how they can do that with a clear conscience. Yeah, yeah. I know – the possession of conscience by Righties is pure theory, but indulge me.

Anyway…Despite the fact that their chances of successfully repealing the healthcare law are pretty much nil, many Republicans and Teabaggers press on. A vote on repeal is scheduled for next week.

What makes my head explode is how repeal-supporters can continue this vain effort, knowing it will fail. Apparently, the morons forgot they work for We the People. Hell, even their man-hours costs money – Our money. Where’s the outrage from right-minded constituents? They should be fuming that their elected officials are playing theatrics with taxpayer money.

This fraudulent, money-wasting effort is being pushed by the very party that said all legislation that would require the spending of our hard-earned money would have to be offset by cuts in spending. Of course, this little repeal fantasy is exempt from their self-imposed/declared policy.

Instead of wasting time (and our fucking money) on a hopeless repeal, the Right should do the ethical thing and work toward improving it. Fuckin’ idiots.
