Hey Whitey

White supremacists/nationalists (aka racist assholes) marching in Virginia. Unfuckingbelievable. This is the culture that Donald Trump inspires. This is the society his ilk, generally speaking, desires and/or tolerates. This is not what America is about. This is not what the vast majority of people in our country are like.

Free speech is one thing. Hateful, bigoted speech is another.

The leaders of a people who seceded from our country because they wanted to enslave an entire race of people should not be memorialized in shrines and statues. While they are most certainly of historical significance/interest, they represent an era in our society that never should have happened.

Claiming that these statues/shrines/memorials represent the heritage of today's Americans is disingenuous. They may be of interest to those whose ancestors they are, and that’s fine, but to insist that your ancestors’ bad decisions (i.e. slavery) be on display for everyone to see is presumptuous and offensive. I have German ancestors, some of whom may have been Nazis; I can’t imagine why I’d want a shrine in my public square memorializing them and their horrific deeds. Would it be interesting to me? Absolutely. Would I want to preserve it in my family history? Absolutely. But I wouldn’t for a second pretend to believe that anyone else besides genealogists, historians, and family would give a shit about it.

Seriously – If you enjoy the history of our country, are sincerely interested in your heritage and ancestors, and want to make sure this history of our country is preserved, and not whitewashed, get involved in a historical society, a museum, your local libraries.

I find our country’s history extremely interesting – The good and the bad, but I don’t glorify the enslavement of human beings and that it’s something everyone should see.

So snap the fuck out of it, and do something good for your country, your state, your city, your community, your neighborhood. Don’t be an uninvolved leech that thrives on conflict.

Sara Huckabee Sanders blatantly lied to the American public the other day by saying: "The President in no way form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence. If anything, quite the contrary."

Select Trump Quotes:

“I’d like to punch him in the face.”

“The audience swung back, and it was very appropriate. He was swinging, he was hitting people, and the audience hit back. That’s what we need a little bit more of.”

“Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”

“I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself, or if other people will.” “If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise. They won’t be so much, because the courts agree with us too — what’s going on in this country.”

That our President encourages (probably orders) administration staff to lie to the American public is a disgrace to the office, to public service, and our country. It's downright pathetic.

When it's all over and done with, Trump apologists and defenders will be recorded in history for what they are.

Sean Spicer

Sean Spicer. Wow.  What a fucking idiot. But, I suppose he’s doing his job:  Accurately representing what will go down as the absolute stupidest administration in the history of the United States.

Holocaust?  What Holocaust?

And who the hell refers to concentration camps as "holocaust centers"?

To Hell With Trump

History will show Toddler in Chief Donald J. Trump and his herd of fascist ideologues to be the worst administration in the history of our country.  Further, it will show how seriously these irresponsible, pathetic individuals damaged our democracy.

Today Trump is whining about his firing of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.  He fired the man, then promptly blamed the Intelligence community and the media.  Flynn, whether he acted alone or on direction of Trump or his minions, acted irresponsibly. And he got fired for that.  Trump fired him.  Donald J. Trump fired him.  President Trump fired him.  The media didn’t fire him. The IC didn’t fire him.  The Donald fired him.

This so-called leader and deal-maker is a shyster.  A huckster.  A flimflam artist.  A con man.  A liar without a moral compass.  A narcissistic pansy, who can’t take responsibility for his own actions.  Act and blame…lather, rinse repeat.

This man needs to be removed from office.  He is a disgrace to the office, the country, our government, and to all the men and women who have dedicated their lives building this country’s democracy, government, and way of life over the last 238 years.

I hope our Congress isn’t sitting back doing nothing.  I hope their work is taking place behind the scenes and is focused on keeping this cretin from further damaging our country.

Mr. Trump – You claimed to be a unifier and that you would work for everyone.  Your actions say – no, scream, otherwise.  The world doesn’t revolve around you.  This country isn’t yours; it’s ours.  There are nearly 320 million of us in the United States with different political and social views.  Start serving all of us.  That means compromise, and doing that negotiating stuff you claim to be so good at.

Until you grow the hell up and start acting like a respectable, responsible adult and President, I will do everything I can to have you removed from office.  I’m only one person, with limited resources, but I’ll do what I can because I despise you and the way you and your administration conduct yourselves.

Gone Fishin'

Jason Chaffetz & Wolf Blitzer discuss POTUS and the Emolument Clause of the Constitution.  The hypocrisy just doesn't stop with the Republican party. How many taxpayer dollars did these clowns waste on Hillary Clinton fishing expeditions?

Birds of a Feather

So I was feeling a little masochistic this morning and decided to peruse VP Pence’s Twitter feed. I hate to admit I was surprised because, despite his awful politics, he seemed a little more measured and thoughtful than Herr Trump. But…I can admit that I’m wrong when I’m wrong, and boy was I wrong. This clown is as divisive and caustic as Mr. Trump. Here are a few examples. In one post, he placed a couple of pics of the idiots in Berkeley vandalizing property and generally behaving like idiots. To that Pence said, “Liberals say "Trump will destroy America." but according to this pictures they're the ones doing it.” This, from the party that derides blacks when they express their distrust and fear of the police by saying, “One bad cop doesn’t mean all cops are bad,” and that kind of stuff that most people get. In another post he says, “It's so cold in Washington D. C. today that I've seen liberals with their hands in their own pockets.” Holy sheep shit! Really? Not only is that a lame, old joke – It’s really quite hypocritical coming from the party of graft, blowing lobbyists, and People United. Then he tries to honor slain former Army Sniper Chris Kyle by posting a meme with the following text: It takes 43 muscles to frown, and 17 muscles to smile, but only 3 for a sniper to pull the trigger. RIP Chris Kyle, 1974-2013. While I absolutely respect and admire every person who joins the military and serves their country, I take issue with Pence’s “tribute.” What Christ Kyle did in the military was his job. He happened to be very good at it, but he was more than a sniper. He was a father, a husband, a son, and probably a pretty damned good citizen and person. Why the Right continues to perpetuate a society of firearms, killing and death is beyond me, and this narrow tribute does nothing to honor the man, and disrespects him in my opinion. And finally (Because I’m getting tired of reading his bullshit), he posts, “Here is the Video of 2006 were 45 Democrats Helped Unanimously Confirm #NeilGorsuch (incl. @SenSchumer, and Obama).” They helped confirm Gorsuch as a U.S. Circuit judge. A video is included. The sad part about this is that, while he knows God damned well the Right did the exact same thing with Merrick Garland, it is totally lost with [probably] most of his and Trump’s loyal followers, who don’t have time to research facts or history. They believe only their Dear Leader and their talking automatons. Okay, one more. This one nearly made me choke on my coffee: “Most Americans support Trump's Refugee ban, The protests are only by the radical left who love terrorism.” What strikes me most about this administration is that, despite Trump’s promise to work for all citizens and the whole country, they are clearly not demonstrating that by a long shot. They continue to divide, needle, and deride anyone who disagrees with them politically. These times are so much more than simple political differences. It’s about finding common ground and bringing the citizens of this country to a place where they agree on a compromise. We were not a country built on a “my way or the highway” philosophy. We were born of the people, by the people, and for the people. It's the responsibility of our public servants to serve us – All of us. Where we disagree, we compromise. We have to, or we’ll live in strife and unrest until a leader gets elected that is truly a leader. We certainly don’t have any in this administration. The divisive rhetoric and unilateral upheaval of policies and ideals does nothing to improve our way of life and the prospects of a stable, happy future. #TheResistance #NeilGorsuch #SenSchumer #ChuckSchumer #VP #MikePence #VPOTUS #Divisiveness #Trump #DonaldTrump

Tangerine Dreams

The latest wind emitting from Herr Trump’s blatherhole, is his promise to “destroy” the Johnson Amendment.  The Johnson Amendment regulates what tax-exempt churches can do in politics.

The Amendment also applies to other tax-exempt entities, and says in part that they:  “…are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office,"

Churches should always have been taxed to some degree but If Tangerine in Chief Trump succeeds in abolishing the amendment, he damned well better start taxing them – Immediately.  Somehow, I can’t imagine that’ll happen.  If he goes that route, we need to barrage our representatives.  Don’t be idle; be involved.

Snowflakes, All of 'em!!!!

The Fascist Snowflake in Chief has decided not to allow his spokesmorons onto CNN, because they’re “fake news.” Coming from an administration full of chronic liars, this is particularly humorous. CNN need not worry about not having these dunces on their shows. Trump and his ilk are quite adept at showing the world, by their big fuckin’ pie holes, that they’re ignorant, dishonest, and just downright awful human beings. Fuck them.

Onward Christian Dumbass

Well, Dumbass in Chief Donald J. Trump (aka DonDon) and his faux-Christian band of little dumbasses can’t seem to get through a full day without fucking something up and/or causing some controversy or another. This time around it’s a ban on Muslims from a few Middle-Eastern countries, all in the name of protecting us from them thar evil terrorists, who are coming here in droves to establish a Muslim caliphate and enact sharia law to enslave and slay all of us God-fearing ‘Murcans. Hey shit heads – You really wanna protect us? See if you can do something about reducing the thousands of us who are murdered every year by mentally unstable idiots with guns. Start pressuring states to enact stricter laws for violent crimes. Release all citizens in prison for possession of drugs for personal use, and keep violent criminals in longer. They have no right to be free. And, since you and your wall-building, refugee-hating followers claim to be devout Christian, which is dubious, I offer a passage from the Bible: Matthew 25:31-46
The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Illiterate in Chief

Mkay, guys - Don't use apostrophes in plurals, unless the plural is a possessive plural. Sheesh.

Greg Popvich

San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich was asked about the marches around the world on 1/21/17 to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump.  I'm sure the reporter knew exactly how Popovich would respond, and he didn't disappoint.  He went on for four minutes.  Some excerpts:

"I just wish he was more ... had the ability to be mature enough to do something that really is inclusive, rather than just talking and saying, 'I'm going to include everyone.' He could talk to the groups that he disrespected and maligned during the primary and really make somebody believe it. But so far, you've gotten to the point where you really can't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. You really can't. All those thousands that were on the rooftops after 9/11? There were two. 'We went to Hawaii and checked his birth certificate and my investigators couldn't BELIEVE what they found.' There wasn't anything there. It's over and over again."

"The CIA today, instead of honoring the 117 people behind him where he was speaking, he talked about the size of the crowd. That's worrisome. That's worrisome. I'd just feel better if someone was in that position that showed the maturity and psychological and emotional level of someone that was his age. It's dangerous and it doesn't do us any good."

"I hope he does a great job. But there's a difference between respecting the office of the president and the person who occupies it. That respect has to be earned. It's hard to be respectful of someone when we all have kids, and we're watching him be misogynistic and xenophobic and racist and make fun of handicapped people.”

"And what really bothers me are the people around him, the Sean Spicers, the Kellyanne Conways the Reince Preibuses, who know who he is and actually have the cynical approach and disingenuous attitude to really defend him and make him look like he didn't say what he said. When he's mad at the media for them reporting what he said, it just boggles my mind. When Kellyanne Conway said the other day he wasn't really making fun of the handicapped person. It's incredible. It really makes you wonder how far would someone go to actually cover for somebody that much. I think the comment was,' You have to look in his heart. You don't know what's in his heart. He wouldn't do that.' But he did it.”

"But I felt great today watching the march, in protest to how he has conducted himself, because it tells me I really do live in a country where a lot of people care. We have to be vigilant, to be sure. Although we all hope he does good things for our country, that we don't get embarrassed by him and roll back liberties that have been worked for for so long in so many different areas."

"Well I think you know when the media reports what he says, I'm not sure why he can get angry about that. But it does boggle the mind how somebody can be so thin skinned It's all obvious, it's about him. If anything affects him, if it's Saturday Night Live or Hamilton, or she got three more million votes than you. 'They're illegal.' It doesn't matter what it is, there's a pattern there. And that's dangerous.”

They're All Nucking Futs

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was sent to the White House Press Room by Herr Trump (Heil Trump!) to scold the media about misrepresenting the size of the crowds at yesterday’s inauguration.  He also said, “This was the largest audience to witness an inauguration. Period!”  And that it was “shameful and wrong” for the media to make that “misrepresentation.”

Here’s what I think is shameful and wrong, Mr. Spicer:
1. The President talks about unity and serving all the people, yet offers no olive branch or words of inclusion in his inauguration speech. He is divisive, caustic, and unstable to the point that I don’t believe he is capable of finishing his term in office without some major internal government/Constitutional crisis.

2. The President spoke to the CIA today and talked more about himself and the media than he did about embracing the intelligence community, which serves us all, silently and honorably.

3. The fact that you had a press conference to whine about the media’s portrayal of crowd size.  It doesn’t matter how right or wrong the estimates were; what matters to me is that you have as poor judgment as Trump.  Would a sane person show their face to millions and millions of people and serve as a proxy crybaby for someone the likes of Trump over something so minor?  This administration’s pettiness is unnerving.  Grow the fuck up and start running the country, not trying to prove that you’ve got bigger dicks than the other guy?  Jesus.

You guys won. Stop the crying and fretting over little shit.  Serve us all, not just your constituency.  Compromise is critical if we are to function as a cohesive republic.

Conflict of Interest? Pfffft.

Once upon a time, Exxon Mobil invested heavily in Russia, securing 16+ million acres of land to drill on. Then, in 2011, the U.S. levied sanctions against Russia, effectively costing Exxon Mobil a shitload of money.

Fast forward to today:
1. CEO of Exxon Mobil is being considered for Secretary of State.
2. PEOTUS loves Russia and Vladimir Putin, praising him and the country, and heavily pushing friendlier relations with Russia.

If you think those Russian sanctions are going to remain in place very long after January 20th 2017, you're blind as a bat.

And if you think Big Business and Donald Trump give a shit about the common, working person, you're a fool.

Give this a read.

Pants on Fire

PEOTUS says he's going to get Mexico to pay for that ridiculous wall AFTER taxpayers cough up the money.

Mr. Trump: You said Mexico was going to pay for it. You said nothing about us paying for it. Put up or shut up.
