Otra Ves, Pendejo! (Again, stupid?!)

Local San Antonio Dumbass Kevin Wolff, Bexar County Commissioner, has fucked up yet again.

You may recall, if you check the tag Kevin Wolff in this blog, that Wolffy baby was busted a while back for DUI....in his underwear.  What a guy!

Just the other day this fucking rocket scientist failed a court ordered drug test (part of his probation).  What a guy!  And has skipped 24 mandatory tests.  Again, what a guy!

Anyway...I'm burning WAY too many calories on this dunce.  Read the article yourself, and the other tagged posts in this blog.

I'm sure his aspirations of being a state or federal government big shot are waning by now.  On second thought - Probably not.  People like him just don't quit.  They value power and money more than they do honor, respect, and service.

Local Edition - Paula Stallcup

WOAI News Troubleshooters recently did a story about city employees suspected of stealing gas from city pumps.

Examples of some of the records anomalies discovered by WOAI:
- One driver fueled up on two consecutive days, after only going 25 miles.
- Another refueled twice in one day after driving 21 miles.
- And yet another fueled up after traveling only 4 miles.

Today’s dumbass, Director of Downtown Operations Paula Stallcup, was not aware of the city’s fueling policy (No fueling unless the vehicle has traveled at least 100 miles).

The reason for such heavy gas use, according to Stallcup, is because the Chevy Malibus are getting about half the government’s estimate of 18mpg.

When asked specifically why someone might need to refuel after traveling only four miles, Stallcup responded, “They may not have - um - you know they - um - I really can’t explain that.”

Then the following exchange:
WOAI: Is it possible your employees are stealing gasoline?
DIG: No sir. That’s not possible.
WOAI: You’re sure?
DIG: Positive

Nice try Paula. Time for you to go now. I’m writing the mayor to insist you be replaced for the following reasons:
1. Being ignorant of the existence of fueling regulations you should know about as Director of Downtown Operations.
2. You are an idiot to think the fair citizens of San Antonio are so stupid we’d believe those Malibus are getting 9MPG.
3. For not even entertaining the possibility that your employees are capable of deceipt.

Local Edition - Wolff/Haass

At 7:26pm, Dumbass In Government Kevin Wolff is beating D.I.G. Chip Haass, for Precinct 3 Commissioner, 54% to 42% in early reporting for Bexar County.

Looks like the “decorated veteran” bullshit, and pathetic cashing in on the 9/11 tragedy is working for him.

Wolff’s campaign derided Haass for not being a veteran. The funny thing about that weak ass contention is that Wolff’s service was positively unremarkable; and his own father, Bexar County judge Nelson Wolff, has no military service himself. Let’s impeach the commie pussy!

Kevin Wolff

Kevin Wolff served on the San Antonio City Council once upon a time. Now he’s running for Bexar County Commissioner, Precinct 9 and people are actually going to vote for him.

The only reason this guy is on my radar is because I have a vivid recollection of his arrogance during an interview with a WOAI reporter in 2006. I recall his arrogance and his admission that he was using a city-provided computer during council meetings for personal business.

That’s business, as in another job – when he was supposed to be tending to the business of San Antonio – the sixth largest city in the nation.

Here’s what he told WOAI back in 2006:

“I sign on to my work e-mail and periodically check e-mails from the job that actually pays me”

He told the reporter he only checks it during “staff presentations he’s already heard.” Wolff went on to say, “I'm not doing e-mail when it is something I haven't heard before. Otherwise, if it is something I've heard before, you bet, I got to support myself and my family, so I gotta to keep up with work, as well.”

Great work ethic, eh? Maybe he ought not to have taken the fucking city council job if he couldn’t handle it.

Interestingly, Wolff is touting himself as a decorated veteran of the US Navy. Being a curious sort, I bounced over to his web site and read his bio.

“He was responsible for communications on board the U.S.S. Mahan DDG-42…”
Translation: He was a low ranking radioman that worked shifts (with a bunch of other guys) in a communications center. He was responsible for doing what he was told to do.

“When his ship crossed Qaddafi's "Line of Death" in the Gulf of Sidra, Wolff was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal for armed conflict against an enemy.”Translation: He was riding on the ship with 230 or so other guys when it crossed a line plotted on a chart. All 230-some-odd guys on the ship got the same medal.
Opinion: He did four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged, just like thousands of other guys and gals. To tout oneself as a “decorated veteran” when you really did nothing of note, is laughable, especially when one considers some of the heroism being perpetrated by soldiers and sailors in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Two months before 9/11, Wolff and his family relocated with Citigroup to New York City where he served as the Regional Human Resources Director. He assisted in the integration and counseling for Citigroup employees who lost family during the World Trade Center disaster.”
Opinion: Don’t be such a Giuliani, Wolffy. Riding on the coattails of a national tragedy is pathetic.

That is all.

Mayor McPerv

So there’s this mayor in Poteet, Texas. His name is Lino Donato. He was arrested for indecency with a child. He pleaded guilty to those charges last week. He was going to hold a meeting yesterday to announce his resignation. Tuesday he decided not to resign.

Apparently taking his cues from Larry Craig, he has decided that his guilty plea was a mistake. He claims he pleaded guilty because he didn’t have proper legal representation. "I was going to resign, but the bottom line is I'm not guilty. I didn't do those things. I need to clear my name,"

Pardon me dumbass, but if I was charged with indecency with a child and I knew I didn’t do it, the last fucking thing I would do is plead guilty.

Do everyone a favor and just go away.

Hey Ralphy

So we in the county of Bexar (pronounced BAY-er) have a sheriff (Ralph Lopez) under grand jury indictment for a problem with ethics.

The San Antonio District Attorney’s office says this:
--Ralphy boy accepted a trip to Costa Rica as a gift.
--This gift was from a company recently hired by Lopez to run the county jail commissaries (a $2M annual gig).
--Ralphy broke the law by not reporting the gift.

But, thank God, Ralphy’s attorney told inquirers, “He strongly feels that he is innocent, and he's done nothing wrong.” No shit? Wow. That’s bitchin’. I’m going write someone and urge they drop the indictment against him because he feels so strongly about his innocence. While I’m at it, I think I’ll take a poll of county jail inmates and see how many of them feel strongly that they’re innocent and have done nothing wrong.

Ralphy’s attorney says there were legitimate business reasons for taking the trip to Costa Fucking Rica. You’re kidding me right? What business could a sheriff in Texas have to tend to in Central America? Wikipedia sez electronics, pharmaceuticals, financial outsourcing, software development, and ecotourism have become the country’s prime industries. I wonder if he was going down there to research new Erectile Dysfunction Disorder medicines for the county’s health benefits plan.

I say fire his ass on the spot. Public servants, especially those serving in law enforcement or legal capacities, should serve and act beyond reproach.

The mere appearance of impropriety must be avoided at all times. It’s pretty simple dumbass.

Roger Flores

San Antonio City Councilman Roger Flores was the subject of an eight-month WOAI investigation concerning his propensity to take advantage of his position.

This is the second time Mr. Flores has graced this blog. The first entry concerned his use of his city-provided computer to surf the internet during city council meetings (and no, it wasn't official business)

This time around he uses his position and his "official business" parking sticker to his advantage.

Video

This guy is amazingly arrogant. His attempt at justifying the abuse of his position and city parking sticker reminds me of a child's inept attempt at lying his way out of a pickle. Does he really think people believe this shit?

Go visit his site and send him a note if you feel so inlcined.

Local Edition

San Antonio City Council members were busted by local television station, WOAI, after the station’s “Trouble Shooters” team got a hold of councilmember internet logs.

It appears that these dedicated public servants have been surfing the internet during, yes during, city council meetings. Most of them were just fucking off, but one was actually using his city-furnished laptop to tend to a second job!

In this article, WOAI reported that councilman Chip Haas defended his checking out the New Orleans Saints Cheerleaders during a council meeting as:

“…researching New Orleans Saints things, trying to see if it was going to work in New Orleans or whether or not they would be looking for a home in San Antonio.” He went on to explain that some cheerleaders caught his eye so he “went on to view the rest of their site.”

Nice try Chippy; the Saints, according to WOAI, had announced their decision to return to New Orleans six months prior to your hunnysurfing adventure.

Haas spent time at other meetings viewing sports scores, banking, making golf reservations, and paying personal cell phone bills. Haas the brain surgeon defended his inappropriate use of city property at a meeting he was elected to pay the fuck attention to by saying that he only did his personal surfing when people addressing the council got off topic. Bullshit.

What really got me about Mr. Haas was his arrogant fucking tone and attitude when interviewed by WOAI (video link at the end of this rant).

Another councilman, Roger Flores, is reported to enjoy spending our money surfing model toy airplane sites, looking at sites that had information on parts for his Landrover, buying shoes and tennis equipment, and viewing Maria Sharapova’s web site. Oh, and he also likes checking out Motley Crue’s web site during meetings.

Flores defended his inappropriate use of city property by blathering this to WOAI’s Brian Collister:

“ ‘Folks need to understand that with the, I guess, how long these particular meetings are, that either you've already heard the information before, or that someone's asking questions that either you've already asked or you that you have no concern about,’ said Flores.”

“Collister then asked, ‘So, people shouldn't show up and try to express their opinions because you've already heard them?’ “

“ ‘No, I absolutely agree that they need to show up,’ answered Flores.”

Councilwoman Delicia Herrera used her laptop to shop for clothes during meetings.

Richard Perez researched South Texas rental properties.

Sheila McNeil made flight reservations and paid personal cell phone bills.

Dang...if these overworked dunces don't have enough time in a day, let's give 'em some more vacation time, or hire 'em secretaries!

Councilman Kevin Wolf used his city-provided computer to work his second job at Deacon Recruiting. Here’s Wolff’s lame-ass defense of his actions:

" ‘I sign on to my work e-mail and periodically check e-mails from the job that actually pays me,’ Wolff told us, adding he doesn't check his work e-mail a lot. He said he only checks it when he says it is during a staff presentations he's already heard.”

“Wolff said, ‘I'm not doing e-mail when it is something I haven't heard before. Otherwise, if it is something I've heard before, you bet, I got to support myself and my family, so I have to keep up with work, as well.’ "

Huh? Did I hear that right? Actually pays you? You’re the dumbass that ran for this position as a public servant. If you can’t fulfill the duties you were elected to carry out, get the fuck out of office, and I mean now.

While the other public servants’ use of their city provided laptops was inappropriate and unethical, Mr. Wolff’s actions in using a government computer system to conduct personal business is, in my opinion, tantamount to fraud, and is deserved of immediate dismissal.
